The Thumb area: Governor's Inn, Lexington, has been recently renovated, and is available for small weddings, receptions, showers, teas, meetings, and hearty breakfasts. Those Irish Hills & SE: Dewey Lake Manor B&B has a new "jacuzzi" room! $125 per night, overlooking the grounds and lake. Find them at their new website: bbonline/mi/dewey/. River Country: Look up Christmere House B&B, Sturgis, at www.rivercountry.com/christmere (email [email protected]. The Victorian Villa Inn has one suite with private outside hot tub - the Art Nouveau Suite - $145 dbl.weekends, $110 weekdays. The White Rabbit Inn B&B has six rooms with whirlpool tubs for $95/ night, and two cabins with private outdoor hot tubs & wood burning stoves for $155. They have discontinued their packages. Minimum stays apply on weekends and holidays, and the inn is closed after Thanksgiving weekend through Christmas Day. Their new email address is [email protected] Lakeshore area: Parasailing is no longer available, and the deer feeding site is actually located South of the county. The Art Coast: We regret to report we have received news of a bad experience at Heritage Manor Inn, Fennville, (from a visitor): "dirty, noisy, rude". We suggest they be removed from your "must visit" list. The Kingsley House B&B, also in Fennville, is delightful, however, and can be looked up at www.kingsleyhouse.com (email:[email protected]). Twin Gables Inn, Saugatuck, has new owners. They report the addition of more antiques and reproductions, and promise a very romantic and peaceful setting. Numerous off-season weekend packages are now available, i.e. "Sweetheart Sampler". Look them up at www.twingablesinn.com (email: [email protected]). The Shoreline Area: The Highland Park Hotel is closed. Their toll free # (1-800-951-6427) has been taken over by The Looking Glass Inn. Cities by the "Sea": The Lamplighter B&B in Ludington had a new website at: www.ludington-michigan.com (email: [email protected]). The Port Cities: Birch Haven Inn B&B has new owners and a new name - Knollwood Manor. Same address and phone (email: [email protected]). Rates are $85/night. Leelanau Peninsula: The North Shore Inn is closed. Bay Country - North: Highland Hideaway B&B wishes everyone to note that all Northwest Michigan areas (north of Grand Rapids) have a new area code (231 replaces 616).
